Each of our researchers is administratively tied to one of three different groups at SOFI. The groups conduct many different projects and collaborate with the other groups formally and informally.

How the groups are constituted

Academically, researchers belong to economics (AME) and sociology (with only a few exceptions over time). Sociologists are informally divided into two research groups, one working on level of living issues (LNU) and one on social policy (SOCPOL). The economists are mainly labor economists.
