The program theme is work-life cohesion and exclusion in the wake of long-term structural change, mainly rising skill requirements and service sector expansion.

Sub-projects of the program examine employment opportunities of marginal groups (youth, immigrants, low-educated); job and wage progression among workers at different levels of the job structure; health and family ties across the life-course among women and men with and without work; and political reactions to work-life change, including support for populist parties.
